Koosah Falls is a 64-foot waterfall in the Willamette National Forest in Oregon.
It’s one of several waterfalls on the McKenzie River, and is part of a popular loop trail with Sahalie Falls.
Location:
- In the Cascade Mountains, along the McKenzie River
- Part of the McKenzie River watershed
- Located off Highway 126, along the McKenzie Pass-Santiam Pass and West Cascades National Scenic Byways

- A 64-foot drop into a large pool
- Part of a 2.6-mile loop trail that connects to Sahalie Falls

When to visit:
- March to May to see the falls at their peak
- October to see the fall foliage
- In the summer, try to arrive by 9 AM for less crowded conditions
Other information:
- The names of the waterfalls are Chinook Jargon words, meaning “Sky” and “Heaven” respectively
- Parking is available at both falls, but Koosah Falls may be less congested
