This is one of the many must see natural attractions in the area.
I always tell people this is one of America’s Secret National Parks – Clear Lake, Sahalie Falls, Koosah Falls and Tamolitch Blue Pool are simply amazing – not just these main attractions, but also the McKenzie River as it flows down and connects all these things. There’s more than just these – give yourself a couple days. Make sure you visit Proxy Falls as well!

This is an exceptional place to stay. I have been here many times. The rooms are beautiful and comfy. The views are stunning. The grounds are well maintained and the ability to walk to the edge of the river and put your feet in the water or fish from the shore makes this an amazing choice for staying on the McKenzie River.

The cabin is a great stay-there was everything you’d need for a trip. Lots of towels, very useable kitchen that’s well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc. It’s cozy and had a lot of blankets, the heat and little swamp cooler thing were great too. There was even some back up canned goods and spices in the kitchen. Well stocked air bnb. The host answers any questions pretty immediately and is very helpful and friendly. – Allyssa (original review posted on AriBnB)

So happy to have such great care for my pets so close by. They have saved the life of a couple of my pets over the years. From dogs to horses, Alex and Brian are wonderful veterinarians.

I got a large pepperoni and sausage pizza – they had 2 kinds of pepperoni to choose from!!! So I chose the spicy one and I wasn’t disappointed. The crust was good, fairly thin in the middle and nice and chewy on the edges.

I LOVE Hoodoo Ski area because the prices are good and the lift lines are a lot smaller than most of the other ski places I’ve visited. The ski lodge is huge and the rental shop has skis, snowboards and snow bikes. This is a good family friendly place with a good mix of trails from easy to hard.

My favorite is Thrifty Thursdays, lift tickets are only $35!! So affordable – if my kids were doing well in school, we’d skip a school day and I treat them to skiing at Hoodoo!

The food here is great. They grind their own hamburger patties. My favorite is the beef brisket burger. Literally one of the best hamburgers I have ever had! (I don’t say things like that lightly.). If you visit the McKenzie River, you need to make sure that you eat here at least once.

This is an amazing place. Get breakfast in the lodge, rent kayak, and hike around the lake. Spend the day or stay overnight. You won’t regret it. Avoid the weekends in the summer. Spring and Fall have less crowds and the changing seasons makes it even more colorful.

This is an amazing waterfall. If you’re short on time you can hit this and Koosah Falls with a short walk from parking. Better yet, park at on of the falls, and take the waterfall loop trail to the other falls and then back again. BEST BET: If you have time, do the full waterfall loop trail.
